Have It!

The halfway housemates faced the dubious task of winning the money for the shopping budget yesterday and the old task of eating unpleasant foodstuffs was dusted off for another entertaining outing. David had to eat raw meat, Tracey had to drink a glass of olive oil, Kara Louise had to eat a kebab made of lamb and fondant fancies while Shanessa has to drink a glass of mayonnaise.

The successful completion of a meal meant that each housemate would swell the coffers of the pot by £100 and the halfway housemates gamely battled through their ordeals…with the exception of one. Shanessa refused to play ball and whinged and whined about how drinking mayo would make her feel ill, strange all things considered. Surely her previous occupation had her drinking worse.

There remained a serious element of discontent on both sides of the house with Amy remaining the target of the “halfway housemates” dislike. They rightly considered she had sold them out. Admittedly it’s a dog eat dog game but her lack of tact in the situation made her look like a housemate without integrity. One way or the other she might survive this weeks evictions by default but I’m convinced her days in Big Brother are limited as a result. Even Liam who previously enjoyed a night between the sheets with her has distanced himself from any further serious dalliances (with the exception of the odd ‘no strings’ attached snog of course).

In a final twist the halfway housemates were allowed back into the main house as a reward for completing their task. Most housemates were greeted warmly but Amy was frozen out leaving her in tears. While all this was going on Tracey was simply getting on with being back in the house. Truly a drama free girl and judging by the crowds tonight, a favourite to stay. Most of the housemates let the matter settle quickly but Shanessa was not one to let the subject drop and refused to speak to Amy. However eventually Amy’s glib bullshit won her round.

There were no surprises in the evictions themselves. David and Shanessa were resoundly booed throughout the show and they became the 7th and 8th respective members to leave the house. Tracey meanwhile got to survive yet another week, and Kara Louise proved that keeping your mouth shut does pay dividends after all as she achieved full housemate status.
