Amy effortlessly tears another chunk off her uber album ‘Back To Black’ with ‘Tears Dry On Their Own’(out on August 13th). As you would expect (and lets be fair everyone has the album by now so they know) its an effortlessly sweeping vocal backed with a knot tight backing, gorgeous stuff but one must remember that she is surely running out material to mine from said album and it might be an idea for her to wipe her nose, put the bottle and her hubby down and get back in the studio and get making some more material lest we all start thinking she’s a one album pony.
Still all things considered its further evidence of a prodigal talent.
In further news Amy returns to the UK next week for a series of live performances at the V festival (18th /19th August) and she is due to attend the Ivor Novello awards where ‘Rehab’ has been nominated in the Best Contemporary Song category.
