It had to be you.

Eviction night and the most obvious choice since bread and jam was seen to be taking the long walk tonight. Yes, it was goodbye Nicky and for the most part good riddance. Thus speaks the end of the reign of one of the most miserable housemates in the history of Big Brother. The ending of her constant whining and inherent speculation as to “who nominated her” for the chop. Yes, even she knew she was going, it was such a no brainer.

On the outside she was greeted by a chorus of boos that was nothing short of resplendent and the look on her face was one of sheer terror which in fairness made a change from the spanked arse demeanour that has greeted us every the show has come on in the last few weeks.

Davina addressed the issue of her mood in her usual matriarchal manner. This drew Nicky into something of a defensive posture, one that took a little diffusing from Davina, but eventually she managed to melt the ice and look at some of her rare happy times in the house (when she was with Liam for a fortnight). But apart from that it was good night and good luck to her.

Elsewhere the ‘Chiggy’ combination of Ziggy and Channelle was in full flow. As they mooned over each other (not at, but not far off) and kissed and cooed like two longing lovers. For tonight anyway… (She’s probably given him a hand job in the shower already that is why he is so content and less pent up than he has been of late). Anyway, its cringe inducing stuff that has firmly labelled Ziggy as quite possibly the cheesiest player in the house (and in the top ten of BB history).

So now Nicky has gone where does this leave the rest of the housemates. To say her departure will have no impact would be remiss. After all she might have been a negative player but she had formed alliances, namely with Charley who was desperate clinging to the limelight of seven days ago and now without her friend and confidante might have to find herself treading a little more carefully now that the other housemates are becoming wise to her particular brand of bullshit.

Gerry has now survived an eviction that puts him in a stronger position within the house, although we are now clear that there is a serious crack in the relationship between him and Tracey. Elsewhere the twins may now have their sights on Carole for eviction (they were actually drawn into the first conflict over the last day or so). Brian soars heroically above all and what he might do next is anyone’s guess while Carole and Charley might just be the next alliance to watch for, tenuous I know but needs must when the devil drives.
