Another no brainer in the eviction stakes tonight as Grace took the long walk down the stairs and out of the house. Possibly one of the most berated housemates ever, her fate was sealed last week when the chants of “Get Grace Out!” rang around the compound during Susie’s entrance.

It hadn’t been the smoothest running of environments in the lead up to the eviction with Nikki going nuclear at the pre eviction party the night before over a stolen bottle of beer. Mikey had witnessed her hiding said bottle under her pillow and took a dislike to what he considered to be slightly underhand tactics. Taking the bottle for himself and sharing a drink with Glyn they disposed of the beer. And this folks I suspect is where a plan came into action.

Nikki went postal when she discovered her booze was gone. And I mean nuts, screaming and sobbing in a fashion perhaps better reserved for mortal grief than the loss of a single alcoholic beverage. Mikey I suspect was aware that this would have been the reaction and he was hoping to see Nikki stack herself enough bad press to get her evicted from the house. Nice try la, but it was never going to happen. Eventually Nikki was reigned in and brought under control and as is always the case with her “Hulk Smash” moments she realised that her behaviour was inappropriate and duly apologised. Anger management therapists should if they have any sense be forming a queue at the door in readiness for when she leaves.

The eviction itself proved to be one of the show’s better ones. The crowd were truly a baying mob but Grace despite facing the mother of all bad eviction scenarios seemed to take it very well. She duly went and hugged everyone in the house before launching a glass of water over Susie (the woman who had nominated her) and promptly called her “a moose”, a phrase that would also be levelled at Aisleyn before the door opened and she left the house for good. Despite the chance to get herself some good press during the interview Grace was unrepentant over most aspects of her behaviour in the house. She admitted she had bitched (but then haven’t they all). Yet despite the negative attention she did hold it together very well and gave a decent interview.

However while this was going on in the outside world things in the house continued to simmer. Accusations it would seem were made to Imogen and Lisa about the whole “Watergate” scenario being a pre arranged stunt. Cue much squaring up and sharpening of claws and what briefly looked like a fight night scenario between Lisa (who is running out of cigarettes) and Aisleyn.
I think it safe to say that Lisa has put herself in the firing line for nomination next week. Possibly alongside Imogen unless the remaining and increasingly isolated “plastics” can pull something out of the bag and get Lea, Glyn and Pete on side in the all important voting scenario.

…But then again some people have been talking about nominations again. Haven’t they?
