Scouting For Girls release their new single, ‘Famous, through Epic Records on the 11th July 2010. It is taken from their second album, ‘Everybody Wants To Be On TV’, out now through Epic Records.

Scouting For Girls announced their hugely anticipated return with a number 1 single, ‘This Ain’t A Love Song’ in March, and followed it by clocking up a number 2 chart-placing second album just a fortnight later. Beginning 2010 in much the same manner as they concluded 2008, Scouting For Girls continue to be one of Britain’s most successful pop bands of today.

The soaring anthem of “This Ain’t A Love Song” enjoyed two weeks in the top spot, making Scouting For Girls the first British band to enjoy a number 1 single since Coldplay did in 2008. It was met with due acclaim, and the resulting album equally received a strong critical response, achieving gold status within little over a fortnight. Currently on tour across the UK, Scouting For girls are filling British halls with their buoyant pop charm and exuberant, ever-engaging stage-show.

It is a tremendous return, and one greatly deserved after their well-publicised re-working of the follow-up album, in order to make it as essential as they knew they could achieve. Roy, Greg and Pete persevered down in East Sussex at Helioscentric Studios, and the fanfare that the resulting record was greeted with is testament to that hard work.

‘Famous’ is their most unashamedly upbeat tune to date, and has all the makings of a Summer anthem for the festival stages and beyond. Relentlessly bright and unnervingly catchy, Scouting For Girls’ hooks stay with you before the first chorus is complete, and ‘Famous’ is another fine example of how they continue to win over the nation’s hearts with one deft key change, and countless melodious Summery pop hooks.
