Sensoria returns to Sheffield for its third outing this April, bringing with it the now traditional blend of music and film to the city. From the 23rd to the 29th there will be a multitude of events at various venues across this city and as always there will be something to whet most people’s appetite. Amongst this year’s events will be the European premiere of ‘Strummerville’ directed by Don Letts and the DVD launch of Eve Wood’s excellent ‘The Beat Is The Law’ film.

As always Sensoria will be hosting a Pro day which gathers composers, filmmakers and labels to discuss the latest happenings in the world of music and film. This year the theme will be based around the premise of ‘new ways of working’.

There will also be a series of films which look at the influence of Jamaican Sound Systems on the music culture of the UK with the ‘Keep On Running : 50 Years Of Island Records’ and ‘Dub Echoes’ films. There will also be a showcase of Yorkshire music looking at up and coming bands from all over the region in association with Plugged In Yorkshire.

Of course 020magazine will be on hand to bring you reportage from as many of the events we can humanly get to, so during that week expect 020 to become a little 0114…
