Playing at the Union Chapel on Friday October 5th at 1:15pm is Nina Provencal. Bringing The Daylight Festival a pleasing soulful twist. Her myspace page describes her material as a mixture of Folk, Experimental, Soul and this is apt because all though she possesses the qualities of a first rate soul singer, there is a certain gentility and humility to her material that you don’t always find within the genre. Her slightly left of centre approach makes for a refreshing change and for my money this is a talent that you should keep an eye out for. As always the event is free and with a talent like this on offer you should grab the chance to see Nina in the Chapel’s rich and beautiful setting. Don’t miss out.
