OK gang, we’ve got a bit of stuff to get through today so lets not mess about, lets get on with it. Kicking off with the latest NME darlings (this week) The Rumble Strips are offering a cash prize of a grand in a competition for anyone who spots the inflatable drum bearing the band’s logo and artwork during their festival appearances over the rest of the summer. Its either going to be in the festival sites or just outside them. If you spot the drum then you need to photograph and upload the photo to the link I’m posting below.

Its all stuff and nonsense to promote their ‘anthem in waiting’ Girls and Boys In Love’ which is out on August 27th as a precursor to their album ‘Girls And Weather’ which is out on September 10th

Staying with the competition spirit Queens Of The Stone Age have launched one of their own. What you have to do is download a picture of the recent album mascot ‘Bulby’ and photograph it somewhere cool then upload it to the special Queens Of The Stone Age flickr site (link below). The winning entry will find themselves getting their hands on tickets to see the band play live at a forthcoming gig. What are you waiting for?

The band ‘Brinkman’ have a new single out on 30th July and for those that want a teaser of what its like we have another link below which will take you the video stream.

Finally Nine Black Alps have announced a one off date at The Old Blue Last in London next Wednesday (25th July). Its going to be an acoustic set followed by a full electric set which we’re promised will ‘rip East London’s ears off’
