Ah bless, we kick off the week with some sickeningly young and talented musicians by the name of Pinstripe, they’ve had a mention in these pages before but deserve a repeat shout for the simple fact that they are currently giving a choice cut in the form of a free download which is quite frankly rather bloody good. ‘Closest Thing To Heaven’ (not the old wishy washy track of yesteryear by the Kane Gang, the more wrinkly readers might be thinking about). It’s a good ‘un as well. Nice clean production, slightly whimsical synths and some abrupt pop tart guitar sensibilities topped off with a clean and confident vocal and its available for download now.
They recently made an appearance on Channel 4’s music show “Transmission”. This year they were handpicked by Michael Eavis to play at the Glastonbury Festival, which went down a storm. Following on from this the band released their digital only single ‘Innocent’ on 23rd July 2007 followed by the 3 track physical single “Did I Say” on September 2nd 2007.
