Eviction came in a double barrelled form this week. Yet again the housemates hadn’t learned their lessons about discussing whom they would nominate while Big Brother was watching and where there is rule breaking there is usually a punishment to follow.

This time round there were a number of candidates guilty of being a little loose with their tongues. Step forward Lisa (what again?), Glyn, Imogen (yet to nominate), Lea and Nikki.

Rather than go through the usual rigmarole of traipsing to the diary room and nominate in the secretive fashion that is the norm, the guilty parties had to stand up and nominate each other, but they were only allowed to nominate other rule breakers.

So this time round…

Glyn voted for Nikki
Imogen voted for Lea
Lea voted for Imogen.
Lisa voted for Nikki
Nikki voted for Lisa

OK can anybody here spot the deliberate mistake?

A tactical vote by Lisa for Glyn would have put all the “guilty” housemates on level footing. However Lisa’s vote for Nikki gave her two votes and put her immediately into the eviction stakes for the third time in a row.

Needless to say Nikki who is rapidly becoming legendary for her incendiary temper was not impressed and what was rapidly becoming a calmer place to live following the fall of Grace has once again become fraught with tensions.

Elsewhere despite the surface calm there has been some subtle machinations from Richard as he continues to engineer the removal of the plastics. Undeniably Grace was a bitch and she did gossip, but Richard is proving to be almost as contentious in the “influencing” stakes. Very subtle game playing from the self proclaimed sexual terrorist (although there is nobody in the house for him to terrorise). Mikey barely let Grace’s shadow go cold before he was eyeing up Imogen and a seemingly endless touchy feely relationship seems to be on the cards.

Lea has been declaring her sexual frustration to anybody who would listen. While Glyn walks around like a walking hard on, a combination of bikini clad women and youthful exuberance are proving to be a difficult combination for him at the moment. However it is fun watching him as he gains new “life skills”. He’s almost like a human Tamagotchi. Keep him fed and watered and he provides minutes of fun.

Nikki of course should be the most despicable character you could imagine. Her snotty brat attitude shouldn’t win her friends and influence people. Yet at this point she is in danger of becoming a house favourite with the public simply because she is funny to watch.

Pete meanwhile has been surprisingly quiet this week, which could show him dropping in the popularity stakes. I still think he would survive any eviction scenario thrown at him and he could still be an outright winner for the show but its no longer such a cut and dried equation.

In terms of completing the nominations the remaining “not guilty” housemates will be nominating today (televising tomorrow) and this will bring the second eviction candidate to light. At present I think you are looking at it being a safe bet for Lisa. She is rapidly becoming unpopular in the house and on a lot of the message boards that follow the show.

Stay tuned…
