On 1 March 2010, Virgin Records will release the new album from A Fine Frenzy, ‘Bomb In A Birdcage’ to be preceded by 1st single, ‘Happier’ on 21 February.

Fronted by 24 year old California based Alison Sudol, the outfit who performs under the Shakespearean pseudonym A Fine Frenzy, was first introduced to the world with the 2007 Gold selling album One Cell In The Sea. The project established Sudol as one of the most talented young female singer songwriters around. After lengthy tours with Rufus Wainwright and Brandi Carlile on the 1st album, A Fine Frenzy plan to take ‘Bomb In A Birdcage’ out on the road in 2010.

With ‘Bomb In A Birdcage’ Sudol has successfully managed to sidestep the sophomore slump. Retaining the tuneful charm and whimsical language of the debut, Bomb In A Birdcage delivers additional colour and texture with louder guitars and suggests Sudol has distinctly more fire in her belly. With her passion for the English classics of Dickens, Hardy and Jane Austin, Sudol brings a literate flourish to her songs.

Aswell as being a self confessed Anglophile, Sudol is an all round creative multi-tasker, introducing fashion, acting and writing to her roster. She made her television acting debut in CSI: New York, has modelled for Anna Sui, Prada and Betsey Johnson, blogs for Teen Vogue and is currently writing her first novel – a children’s fantasy inspired by heros Lewis Carroll and CS Lewis.

Having well over one million twitter followers and designing her own websites completes her 21st century innovatory credentials.
