Sheffield once again becomes a musical industry hub with the return of Sensoria, running from the 24th to the 30th April.. The event showcases the city’s musical heritage with a reunion gig from post punk pioneers Comsat Angels at Sheffield’s O2 Academy (26th April) with an introduction from Mark Kermode.

The event is more than just entertainment however, Sensoria Pro will be providing a series of music and film related seminars with direct input from people in the industry. There will be discussions on the opportunities for musicians with regards to finding placement within the music and television with a panel of US and European music supervisors.

There will also be opportunities to see a seminar looking at the evolution of music in the realm of video games. The panel will consist of individuals with a great deal of experience in the industry and product of great reputation behind them (for example the developers of such well known gaming titles as Battlefield 2 and Wolfenstein).

Also on hand will be experts from Apple who will be demoing their latest professional grade software for music and film production, a must for those who serious about their creativity and technology.

Also at Sensoria Pro there will be a delegate lounge where you can meet, greet and network to your hearts content. This really is just the tip of the iceberg for the event, if you are in any way connected with the music or film industry (from the enthusiast, budding creative upwards) then this is an event that should be worthy of your time.

SensoriaPro  is being promoted with the help of the British Academy of Composers & Songwriters (BACS), Association of Independent Music (AIM), Musicians Union, MPA, Screened Music Network and BPI along with media partners Sound on Sound and Performing Musician magazines.
