Current favourite with this reviewer Esser has a spanking new video to accompany the single ‘Satisfied’ which is out on November 17th. Definitely one to watch especially as it comes with tasty mixes from Toddla T & Ross Orton and the legendary Mad Professor on slider and fader duties. Link below.

In other news Fight Like Apes (who also got a favourable mention in the single stakes round here recently) are going on the road with none other than The Prodigy. I would have put the dates up but they have already sold so all you would have done is gone and got your dander up only to have your hopes and dreams of meaty live shenanigans dashed like a kitten on some rocks. Worry not though kids they will be taking to the road again as part of the Levi’s One To Watch tour…behold the dates below.

Wednesday November 19th – Audio, Brighton
Thursday November 20th – Barfly, Camden, London
Friday November 21st – Barfly, Birmingham
Sunday November 23rd – Barfly, Liverpool
Monday November 24th – Barfly, Glasgow
Tuesday November 25th – Moshulu, Aberdeen
Thursday November 27th – Roadhouse, Manchester*
Friday November 28th – Barfly, Cardiff
Saturday November 29th – Fibbers, York
(* the Manchester date is not part of the Levi’s tour, but who cares about such trivialities, but we’re kind of duty bound to inform you of such things).

Elsewhere in the world of television the surprise hit of the week for me so far has been E4’s Dead Set. I mean really, where else would you get the chance to see Davina McCall get her throat torn out on a Monday night only to see her rise from the dead and start chewing on some blokes innards about ten minutes later.

Ever a fan of zombie stuff, I really did expect this to suck like a hoover but it has to be said Charlie Brooker has managed to stick together a half decent slab of late night television horror set in the vapid and vacuous world of Big Brother. The third instalment returns to our screens on E4 tonight at 10pm. Be aware kids, expect strong language and images of blood and gore. Ace!
