Daylight plays host to Andrew Morris this weekend (18th October, 12:30) already a musician of some note having picked up accolades that include being part of the iTunes Essential Collection , hotly tipped for 2008. Originally hailing from Australia he’s a well travelled individual who now resides in London incorporating his life experiences into his work. Musically he delivers bright melodic acoustic material which plants its feet in both folk and pop camps. Very accessible and enjoyable stuff and definitely worth a listen.

Emily Barker and The Red Clay Halo follows Andrew at 1pm, definitely an unmissable prospect. combining Emily’s haunted vocals presented against an earthy backdrop of acoustic instrumentation with a yearning twinge of Americana/Country draped across it for good measure. Have a listen to songs like ‘Disappear’ and ‘This Is How Its Meant To Be’, absolutely gorgeous material.

As always for the Daylight events its free admission and considering the calibre of the acts on offer what more could you possibly ask for?
