Its Friday and in the spirit of the weekend, its time to unveil a couple of good things to set you on a weekend of hedonism and drinking in the sunshine (usual disclaimer applies) by a) giving you something for ‘nowt (am I allowed to use Northern terminology now the North has been declared beyond salvage by a think tank) and b) a competition.

First up is Royworld who are celebrating the release of their single ‘Brakes’ on September 1st by announcing a free download of their track ‘Elasticity’ from their current album ‘Man In The Machine’. The link for this is as ever down below. They are also performing at V Festival and heading off for their own headline tour in September (Dingwalls, London on the 16th).
Next up is our competition, regular readers will have copped a look at my recent review of the King Blues single ‘Let’s All Hang The Landlord’. Well we have five limited edition split 7′ singles to give away with said song on one side and ‘Mayday’ by Flobots on the flipside.
