Elsewhere Stephen Fretwell has got together with some very special Fireside Friends to record a cover of the seasonal favourite ‘O Christmas Tree’ and he’s giving it away at the link below. My source says the friends are indeed very special but he won’t tell me who so you are obviously going to have to go and snaffle a copy for yourself. Fretwell also has the single ‘Now’ out on January 14th and it’s rather good.
Mary J Blige will also be returning with a new single and album in 2008. The single ‘Just Fine’ will be out January 28th, so expect more tear stained soul martyr songs aplenty delivered in fine voice if nothing else.
Still not satisfied?
OK you might just remember a short while ago I mentioned The Hives would be returning on January 25th with their single ‘We Rule The World (T.H.E.H.I.V.E.S)’ however for the time being if you simply can’t wait then clock this oh hunters of freebies…below is a link to a free download of ‘Tick Tick Boom’ remixed by the one and only Nick Zinner (Yeah Yeah Yeahs).
Don’t say I never give you nuffink…
