Zero 7 release remixes and rare versions of tracks taken from their third album ‘The Garden’ on November 12th. Among the offerings are previously unheard cuts courtesy of J Dilla, Block 16 and Dabrye.
As a whole despite being rooted deeply in dense and intricate electronica landscape the tracks and mixes on offer have an incredibly organic feel. The beat work in most cases is surprisingly muted and allows a variety of lightly echoed patterns to rise to the surface. This makes for something that might be more suited to the chill out rooms rather than the dance floor. Interesting stuff that that should have some longevity in your collection.
Expect this collection alongside some live sessions to be released through iTunes and 7Digital.
