Fiddy returns with his new single ‘Ayo Technology’ featuring Justin Timberlake and Timbaland. Apparently Curtis and Justin are “sick of using technology and need their ladies in front of them”. So in essence they are confessing to being a couple of people who take it to the bank on a regular basis. As a single its actually not too bad, they’ve got the whole lean euro synth production thing going on which is becoming de rigueur in hip hop these days (and I must profess I’m liking a lot). The lyrics of course are as misogynistic as ever and Curtis still raps like he’s juggling rabbits in his mouth but it’s a marked improvement on some of his previous efforts. I approve.
The single is out on September 17th while his third album Curtis is out on September 10th.
