The Proclaimers return fresh off the back of their profile raising Comic Relief endeavours (is there anyone Peter Kay can’t resurrect, he’s like a musical Lazarus by proxy). The new single ‘Life With You’ is something of a sing a long guilty pleasure, marking no great departure from the formula which launched them originally, think acoustic guitars stridently moving through a traditional band backing, that familiar scotch twang and an almost shouty stomp along chorus and you should get an idea where they’re coming from. Bound to be huge live, or in the pub after a few…yes, it’s that kind of song. An anthem for apologetic drunk boyfriends everywhere and not necessarily a bad thing for it either.

The single is out on the 27th August as the prelude to the album of the same title that is released on 3rd September and to top it off the boys are undertaking a mammoth tour that should see them on the road till December. Catch them live at the Hammersmith Apollo on October 13th and expect this to be high in the set list.
