The next performer to take the stage at Union Chapel’s Daylight festival will be David Hurn on the 20th March. Singer/Songwriter, released debut single ‘Sick Of Hate’ in 1999 on Day Release records, followed by live performances in London and Berlin.
Signed to Fire Records in 2001, leading to support slots with Mark Eitzel, appearance at SXSW Festival Texas, a number of BBC Radio sessions, as well as composing music for a series of short experimental films.
David’s debut album ‘He Was A Woman’ was released in 2002, followed by the critically acclaimed ‘No Love’ e.p. A new full length album is close to completion and due for release in summer 2007.
David has also recently contributed music to ‘Chamber Music Project’, a tribute album to James Joyce (featuring Sonic Youth, Magnetic Fields, Mercury Rev, & many others) This is scheduled for release on Fire Records in August 2007
