Lost finally hit the box last night and certainly showed it’s going to be
a big player in viewing stakes achieving a 28% share of the TV audience
(6.4 million people).

In case you missed the first 2 episodes aired on 10 August here is a re-cap:

Episode 1 Pilot

A man awakes in a jungle. He is bruised and bloody, and doesn’t know
where he is. A yellow Labrador Retriever watches him from the trees,
then suddenly runs off. He forces himself up and winces in pain,
leaning against a tree. He checks his jacket pocket and finds a small
bottle of vodka. Recognition of where he is begins to float across his
face. He winces back the pain and begins to run through the trees,
reaching a beautiful beach.

Jack is one of 48 survivors of a mid-Pacific plane crash. They have
landed on an island of harsh terrain, cruel weather and dark secrets,
including a frightful creature that stalks the jungle. Strangers all,
even those related by blood, the survivors’ pasts – their ethics,
religions, politics, and attitudes – threaten to jeopardize the group’s
ability to endure. However, thanks to Jack’s calm leadership and
quick-thinking, and level-headed Kate, the group has hope for survival
and rescue.

Episode 2 Pilot, Part 2

The discovery of a transceiver raises the survivors’ hopes that help
could be on the way, and the castaways stumble upon a mysterious animal
who doesn’t belong on the island.

The discovery of a transceiver among the plane’s wreckage and the
thought that rescue could be imminent temporarily raises the castaways’
spirits. And the island’s mysteries continue to baffle with the
discovery of handcuffs, a gun and an animal that shouldn’t be able to
survive in a tropical climate.
