Okay, so they’re saying you can win a free iPod, well it all seems to
smack of scam to begin with but on closer inspection it seems that this
just might be possible.

The site is run by a couple of blokes from the US (who now must be
doing pretty well). Their business model is to get others (like you and
me) to go to their site, sign-up and refer 5 friends to the site.

Once you have registered you will need to sign-up to an offer which is
given by another company. Bingo costs £10 and there doesn’t seem to be
any other catches – as long as you aren’t a gambler.

You’ll need to refer 5 friends before you receive your iPod however,
and they’ll all need to complete an offer too. if you add it all up
it’ll cost you £60 if you pay their offers for them (out of kindness!).
If every did this then I guess it would all work out well as everyone
would pay £50.

So it all seems legitimate and is part of a new wave of advertising.
Instead of companies spending millions on TV adverts this way they
really get you to join up.

If you are sceptical about the whole thing you could just sign up and
not buy into any offers until you have referred enough friends who have
signed up to an offer and then buy your offer. That way you don’t buy
an offer until your friends do who you’ve referred.

I heard there is a site to win a flat screen tv too, but that’s another story – I’m just wanting my iPod!
